Our Story

Makola Digital was founded with a simple mission: to give every Ghanaian — from market traders in Makola to tech entrepreneurs in East Legon — a free, powerful platform to buy and sell online.

We named the platform after Makola Market, the beating heart of commerce in Accra, because we believe that spirit of trade and entrepreneurship should extend to the digital world.
